About the position
The Night Auditor at Homewood Suites by Hilton is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests during overnight hours. This part-time role involves managing check-in and check-out procedures, handling financial transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during the night shift. The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for guests and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
- Greeting guests and completing the check-in/check-out procedure through the Property management system.
- Handling cash, credit card information, and goods at the property.
- Identifying the needs of each guest and providing relevant information regarding hotel services and amenities.
- Responding to all guest requests in a timely manner.
- Taking reservations from incoming callers and inputting all pertinent information into the hotel management system.
- Updating and canceling reservations in the system as requested by the guest.
- Organizing previous shifts paperwork, closing and balancing all room accounts and vouchers, and investigating out of balance situations.
- Running trial balance reports and performing the night audit.
- Preparing guest folios for express check-out.
Requirements
- Customer service experience, preferably in a hotel setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Computer knowledge including intranet, Property management system, WORD, and EXCEL is strongly preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a Hilton hotel is a plus.
