About the position

The Night Auditor at Holiday Inn KCI serves as the Front Desk Attendant during the night shift, responsible for compiling and organizing end-of-day reports, checking guests in and out, and ensuring a high level of customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome all guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner.
  • Check guests in, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room location.
  • Ensure necessary identification is taken from guests at check-in.
  • Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Accurately record guest information and preferences in the Hotel's internal system.
  • Check guests out; resolve any late or disputed charges.
  • Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures.
  • Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up.
  • Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines.
  • Follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times; report any health and safety incidents, security breaches, or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty.
  • Assist with booking guest reservations for individual or group stays, process cancellations, revisions, and information updates on reservations as requested.
  • Perform Night Audit duties, such as posting room and tax and preparing the front desk for the new day.
  • Work closely with all departments using clear communication.
  • Lead by example; encourage co-workers to perform at the highest levels.
  • Engage guests to build a level of comfort during their stay.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and Microsoft Suite experience required.
  • 1-year experience working in a hotel or similar hospitality role preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or holidays.
