About the position

The Hotel Night Auditor at Indus Hospitality Group is responsible for providing exceptional guest service during the night shift, ensuring that all guest transactions are handled efficiently and accurately. This role involves a variety of tasks including checking in guests, managing reservations, processing payments, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and functionality of the hotel environment. The position requires adherence to brand service standards and a commitment to teamwork and excellence in service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
  • Answer telephone inquiries.
  • Post charges (room, food, telephone), compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
  • Make and confirm reservations.
  • Monitor room availability and block rooms as needed.
  • Program wake-up calls for guests.
  • Handle guest mail and messages.
  • Open and close shifts, making cash drops as necessary.
  • Maintain market stock and coffee area as needed.
  • Finalize transactions completed during the day and process credit card transactions.
  • Prepare and print folios for departing guests.
  • Create, print, file, and transmit required reports.
  • Compile daily sales figures and complete daily reports.
  • Complete end-of-month procedures.
  • Ensure hotel PMS system is in balance with the reservations system and correct any discrepancies.
  • Provide guests with information about hotel services and local area.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the lobby and surrounding areas.
  • Check lobby fixtures and equipment for proper operation and report deficiencies.
  • Schedule shuttle runs for guests when applicable.
  • Perform laundry duties as needed.
  • Set up continental breakfast.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including Internet navigation and Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS).
  • Strong customer service skills.
