About the position

The Hotel Night Auditor at Home2 Suites is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to hotel guests during the night shift. This role involves managing hotel operations, performing night audit procedures, and ensuring guest satisfaction while maintaining security and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register guests, issue room keys, and assign rooms in a friendly manner.
• Act as hotel manager on duty, following prescribed procedures for communication and guest satisfaction.
• Enter daily changes and balance accounts, including guest and house accounts.
• Complete night audit procedures accurately and timely, ensuring all information is posted correctly.
• Ensure guest safety by following established security procedures.
• Record and communicate guest special requests and problems to the appropriate department.
• Answer inquiries regarding hotel services and local attractions, providing travel directions.
• Accurately check out guests and communicate departures to housekeeping staff.
• Compute bills, collect payments, and make deposits according to cash handling procedures.
• Make, confirm, and cancel reservations via various methods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hotel lobby and front desk area.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with guests.
• Basic accounting skills for balancing accounts and handling cash.
• Ability to work independently and stay alert during night shifts.
• Familiarity with hotel management software and reservation systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in hotel front desk operations or customer service roles.
• Knowledge of local attractions and services to assist guests.
