Hotel Night Auditor

About the position

The Hotel Night Auditor is responsible for providing exceptional customer service during overnight shifts, ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth hotel operations. This role involves checking guests in and out, handling financial transactions, and maintaining accurate records while also assisting with various hotel tasks to enhance the guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and taking a sincere interest in their needs.
• Check guests in, ensuring proper credit is received and special requests are noted and fulfilled.
• Help resolve problems and 'WOW' guests through recovery when issues arise.
• Interact professionally with hotel staff and assist other departments with necessary information.
• Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and policies.
• Maintain the house bank and ensure accurate financial transactions.
• Generate, print, and distribute daily and weekly reports.
• Follow Night Audit procedures with great attention to detail.
• Communicate all pertinent information to the manager on duty.
• Follow set procedures on posting charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
• Set up the complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning.
• Assist with washing and folding laundry as needed.
• Keep common areas tidy and assist other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to work overnight hours.

• High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.

• Outgoing and engaging personality is essential.
• Computer skills are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting is important.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift is required.
• Must be available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
