About the position

The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during overnight hours. This position is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while maintaining the financial integrity of the hotel through accurate auditing and reporting of daily transactions.

Responsibilities

• Perform night audit procedures to reconcile daily hotel transactions and ensure accuracy
• Verify and balance revenue and settlements, including room charges, food and beverage charges, and other miscellaneous charges
• Prepare daily reports summarizing hotel operations and financial activities
• Assist with guest check-in and check-out processes as needed
• Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner
• Handle guest complaints or issues, escalating to management when necessary
• Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to provide recommendations to guests
• Ensure the safety and security of guests by monitoring access to the hotel during overnight hours
• Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure a seamless guest experience

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality management or night audit preferred
• Knowledge of hotel operations, guest services, and front desk procedures
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately perform financial calculations
• Proficient in using computer systems, including property management systems (PMS) and phone systems
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus
