About the position

The Hotel Operations Manager at MGM Resorts International is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Front Desk team, ensuring high customer satisfaction and exceptional guest experiences. This role involves managing operational and financial goals, implementing strategic initiatives, and enhancing employee engagement within the front desk operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Resort Operations Manager in leading the Front Desk team.
  • Manage labor and overall financial performance of the hotel operations.
  • Execute functional strategy and operational direction for the Front Desk.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction in accordance with MGM Resorts service standards.
  • Implement policies, operating procedures, and training programs for front desk operations.
  • Engage and develop the front desk operations team through coaching and training.
  • Participate in interviews, candidate selections, and training of front desk staff.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in hotel management.
  • 1+ year of front desk experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement.
  • Knowledge of AAA or Forbes standards.
  • Technical knowledge of LMS and HotSOS or similar systems.
  • Experience in a resort setting.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish or Asian languages.

  • Experience with service optimization systems.
  • Previous experience in employee engagement initiatives.
