About the position

The Hotel Operations Manager at MGM Resorts International is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Front Desk team at The Cosmopolitan. This role focuses on achieving operational and financial goals, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and executing functional strategies in alignment with MGM's service standards. The manager will work closely with the Senior Hotel Operations Manager to implement strategic initiatives and maintain an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Resort Operations Manager in leading the Front Desk team.
  • Manage labor and overall financial performance of the hotel management team.
  • Execute functional strategy and operational direction for the Front Desk.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Implement policies, operating procedures, and training programs for front desk operations.
  • Engage and develop the front desk operations team through coaching and training.
  • Participate in interviews, candidate selections, and training of front desk staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in hotel management.
  • 1+ year of front desk experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement.
  • Knowledge of AAA or Forbes standards.
  • Technical knowledge of LMS and HotSOS or similar systems.
  • Previous experience in a resort setting.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish or Asian languages.

  • Experience with employee engagement tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations in a high-volume environment.
