The Hourly Employee Pool in the Human Resource Department at Santa Barbara City College is seeking a temporary hourly employee to perform a variety of diversified clerical duties. Additionally, the role involves serving as a receptionist, answering telephone calls, taking and relaying messages, and referring visitors and callers to other programs or services as appropriate. The position requires the establishment and maintenance of filing systems, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of documents, and entering data into an assigned computer system. The employee will also generate computerized reports and documents as requested and communicate with students, personnel, and outside agencies to exchange information and resolve issues. Operating various office equipment, scheduling appointments, and managing office calendars are also part of the responsibilities. The work environment is primarily office-based, with constant interruptions expected due to the nature of the role.
