About the position

The House Manager for a 6-bed residential care facility in La Jolla is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and providing hands-on caregiving. This role combines operational management with direct care responsibilities, ensuring the well-being of residents and compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily operations of 3 RCFEs located within 1 mile of each other.
  • Managing the house and staff while providing hands-on caregiving.
  • Overseeing meal preparation and budget management.
  • Managing medication distribution and charting.
  • Responsible for employee schedules and ensuring shifts are adequately staffed.
  • Ensuring adherence to schedules for meals, showers, and activities.
  • Preparing the house for state inspections and ensuring compliance.
  • Filling in for shifts as needed due to last-minute call-offs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a House Manager/Caregiver in a residential care facility.
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • HCA number (required).
  • Valid CPR Certification (preferred).

  • Experience in managing multiple facilities.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
