The House Manager at Merakey is responsible for overseeing the complete operation of a living unit for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This role involves providing care that enhances the health, safety, dignity, and contentment of residents, while also supervising staff and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. The House Manager plays a crucial role in creating a home-like environment and supporting the personal development of residents.

Responsibilities

• Interact and support individuals in various settings.
• Provide care that enhances health, safety, dignity, and contentment.
• Assist and train individuals in personal care, communication, and social skills development.
• Oversee the complete operation of a living unit for IDD individuals.
• Develop and implement all facets of home life to resemble a normal family unit.
• Supervise and evaluate staff members.
• Direct ongoing daily activities and enforce all policies and procedures.
• Provide oversight of the assigned residential program.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1 year related experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Driver's license required.
• A verifiable high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
