About the position

The House Supervisor RN at CHI St. Joseph Health is responsible for implementing and coordinating patient care and support services across the organization. This role serves as a resource for the transfer center in managing admissions and transfers, while also supervising nursing and clerical staff during shifts. The House Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining communication among team members to enhance performance and address any serious situations that arise.

Responsibilities

• Implements and coordinates patient care and support services throughout the organization.
• Acts as a resource for the transfer center in coordinating admissions and transfers to/from other facilities.
• Assists nursing management in scheduling and assigning staff.
• Supervises nursing and clerical staff on each shift, performing supervisory tasks for other departments when necessary.
• Onboards and schedules patient companions.
• Maintains open communication with team members to improve performance and inform the Director of Nursing of any serious and unusual situations.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of acute care nursing experience
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
