About the position

The Housekeeper and Bus Driver position at Juniper Springs Senior Living is a dual-role focused on maintaining cleanliness and safety within the senior living community while providing transportation services to residents. This role is essential in ensuring a vibrant and compassionate environment for the elderly, emphasizing customer service, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, and attractive manner per established procedures and as directed by the supervisor.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Perform cleaning services inside residents' apartments and common areas.
  • Follow a cleaning schedule and instructions.
  • Adhere to procedures regarding infection control, food-borne illness prevention, harmful chemical handling, fire, safety, and sanitation.
  • Submit maintenance work orders to the Maintenance Director.
  • Report any unsafe/hazardous conditions within the community.
  • Assist residents in and out of the bus to their appointments and shopping excursions.
  • Ensure the bus is safe before each trip, checking maintenance as required.

Requirements

  • Kindness and a desire to work with the elderly.
  • Ability to work well with people in emotional or stressful situations.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
  • Good verbal communication skills and the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Meet health requirements, including TB testing.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a housekeeping role or similar position.
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation procedures in a healthcare or senior living environment.
