The Housekeeper position at Carlton Senior Living Elk Grove is a full-time role focused on maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within the facility. Responsibilities

  • Makes resident beds.
  • Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
  • Distributes resident laundered articles and linens.
  • Disinfects and sterilizes bathrooms.
  • Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and/or polishes floors.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Dusts furniture and equipment.
  • Polishes metalwork.
  • Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
  • Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays; transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Cleans litter box/cage for residents who have a pet, and disposes of waste.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
  • Ability to read simple English sentences and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 35 lbs; heavier items require a lift device.
  • Ability to kneel, stoop, bend, and stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Current First Aid Certification.
  • DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance prior to working in the community.
  • Health screening and negative TB test must be less than six months old.
