The Housekeeper/Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms and public areas in a hotel setting. This role is crucial in ensuring guest satisfaction and maximizing revenues by adhering to established cleanliness standards. The position requires a proactive approach to cleaning and preparing rooms, ensuring that all areas are safe, clean, and welcoming for guests, associates, and vendors. In this role, the Housekeeper will set up and maintain cleaning carts with necessary supplies, ensuring that storerooms are organized and efficient for cleaning tasks. Daily responsibilities include cleaning and wiping down windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in both guest rooms and public areas. The Housekeeper will also be responsible for washing shower walls and tubs, cleaning toilets, and ensuring that all restrooms are sanitary and well-stocked with necessary amenities such as towels and soaps. Additional duties include dusting and polishing furniture, stripping beds of linens, and remaking them with fresh linens. The Housekeeper will inspect and maintain the cleanliness of closets, restocking supplies as needed. Vacuuming of rooms, public areas, and hallways is also a key responsibility. The role requires vigilance in checking the functionality of door and window locks, as well as lights and remotes, to ensure guest safety. A friendly and courteous demeanor is essential, as the Housekeeper will interact with guests and associates regularly. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the overall cleanliness and operation of the hotel.
