As a Housekeeper Lead, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and restocking restrooms, cleaning examination rooms, pulling trash, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining common areas. You will also be responsible for cleaning patient rooms using approved cleaners and emptying and cleaning trash cans daily. Excellent customer service skills and effective communication with patients, staff, and visitors are essential in this role. You will perform a variety of environmental services duties to keep the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition. Additionally, you will carry a beeper or phone to respond to all requests for service and may be required to begin and close shifts in the absence of a manager or supervisor. You will also assign tasks to other team members as needed and perform any other duties assigned to you.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the facility by cleaning and restocking restrooms, examination rooms, and common areas.
  • Clean patient rooms using approved cleaners.
  • Empty and clean trash cans daily.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Perform a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.
  • Carry a beeper or phone and respond to all requests for service.
  • Begin and close shifts during the absence of a manager and/or supervisor.
  • Assign tasks to other team members as needed.
  • Perform any and all other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • 1+ year experience in hospital cleaning.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Diploma from a vocational or technical program preferred.
