In this position, you will be expected to maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive demeanor towards customers, clients, and co-workers. Adaptability to customer needs is key, as you will be interacting with various individuals throughout your shift. You will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all assigned areas, ensuring they are neat and sanitary, in compliance with preventative maintenance procedures outlined in departmental policies. Your judgment will be essential in determining the appropriate cleaning techniques to use, and you will demonstrate the safe and efficient use of housekeeping equipment and cleaning solutions. Additionally, you may be required to disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies, employing universal precautions when handling trash and bio-hazardous materials. Keeping your cleaning cart stocked with necessary supplies and ensuring that all chemicals are properly labeled and equipment is in good working condition will be part of your daily responsibilities. You will also promote effective interpersonal relationships and maintain professional conduct at all times, contributing to a positive work environment. As the nature of the job may evolve, you should be prepared to adapt to new duties as assigned without formal notice. This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing, and may require the use of uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
  • Maintains all assigned ancillary and department areas and corridors in a clean neat and sanitary manner.
  • Inspects and uses judgment in determining which cleaning techniques to follow.
  • Demonstrates efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and solutions.
  • May disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies, using germicides and sterilizing equipment.
  • Employs universal precautions when disposing of trash and bio-hazardous materials.
  • Keeps cart properly stocked with equipment and cleaning supplies; ensures all chemicals are accurately labeled.
  • Promotes effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships, maintains professional conduct at all times.
  • Assists in improving productivity and efficient operations of the department.
  • Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence by adherence to training commitments.

Requirements

  • Past cleaning experience preferred
