About the position
The Housekeeper position at Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells is essential for ensuring guest satisfaction through maintaining cleanliness in guest rooms and common areas. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with team members to prepare rooms for incoming guests, and adhering to safety and cleanliness standards. The position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities with flexible scheduling, including weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Cleans guest rooms and guest areas, including making beds, dusting and vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and replacing supplies.
- Cleans guest suites within an allotted time period determined by management using proper procedures and chemicals.
- Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays.
- Utilizes chemicals according to directions and familiarizes self with all material safety data sheets.
- Follows procedures concerning protection against blood borne pathogens.
- Ensures rooms are completed and signed off on within the appropriate time frame.
- Practices safety procedures including bending, lifting, and safe use of equipment.
- Reports hazardous conditions in work area or equipment to management.
- Maintains a stocked, organized, and clean cart with sufficient supplies.
- Cleans out housekeeping cart and storage unit from all trash and organizes carts/storage units.
- Documents and secures lost and found items.
- Communicates with guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Keeps supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart at the end of the shift.
- Fills out maintenance request forms for any discovered damage to property and submits to Manager.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
