About the position

Park Place Healthcare and Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the facility. The role involves cleaning resident rooms and common areas, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents, and supporting the overall operations of the Environmental Services department.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms and other facility areas under supervision.
• Maintain a neat and odor-free facility appearance.
• Follow a regular cleaning schedule for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing staff.
• Dispose of refuse daily according to sanitation procedures.
• Clean up spills and soiled areas as needed.
• Maintain a fully equipped cleaning cart.
• Assist with transferring residents and their belongings.
• Perform extensive cleaning upon resident discharge or death.
• Report any damage to walls, floors, or equipment to the supervisor.
• Pick up cleaning supplies for the next day's work at the end of the shift.
• Follow special cleaning schedules for windows, walls, and floors.
• Attend in-service education programs to meet facility requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records.

Requirements

• Janitorial experience in a long-term care setting.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks in various conditions.
• Practical knowledge of cleaning in a nursing facility.
• Organized and detail-oriented work performance.
