About the position

The Housekeeper position at Woodspring Suites Lake Jackson involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and public spaces. The role requires performing various cleaning tasks to meet brand and Gulf Coast standards, ensuring a respectful and progressive work environment. The Housekeeper reports to the General Manager and works flexible shifts based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Receive a list of rooms at the start of shift to identify rooms and public spaces to be cleaned during shift.
• Perform Move-Out Cleans and Stay-Over Cleans according to brand and Gulf Coast cleanliness standards.
• Maintain an orderly cart stocked and ready for use at the beginning of the shift.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways to meet health standards.
• Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Replace soiled linen and towels, disinfect bathroom surfaces, and dust or wipe down all surfaces.
• Replenish room supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and trash liners.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas.
• Report any damage to rooms or inappropriate items found in rooms to the GM.
• Notify GM of maintenance issues and left behind guest belongings.
• Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and organized.
• Wash and fold laundry as needed.
• Wear appropriate attire per the dress code.

Requirements

• 1 year of hospitality or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Work authorization required.
• Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in cleaning and hotel environments preferred.
