About the position

The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in resident rooms and various facility areas under the supervision of the Director of Housekeeping. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and attractive environment for residents, adhering to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Clean resident rooms and other facility areas including offices and common areas.
  • Sanitize and maintain cleanliness in resident bathrooms and common bath areas.
  • Follow the weekly cleaning schedule for dining areas and ensure cleanliness after meal service.
  • Move and arrange residents' furniture and equipment as directed by the supervisor.
  • Comply with all facility policies and procedures regarding cleaning and sanitation.
  • Observe rules of sanitation and safety at all times.
  • Demonstrate ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments as needed.
  • Adhere to cleaning chemical hazards as indicated on supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent knowledge and education to perform job functions.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Capable of setting work priorities and working independently without supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
