About the position

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Lubbock is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant Executive to join our team. This role is pivotal in assisting the executive housekeeper in managing the housekeeping department, ensuring that the establishment maintains clean, orderly, and attractive conditions in line with corporate and franchise standards. The Housekeeping Assistant Executive will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping function, which includes managing supplies, linens, equipment, work orders, and other assigned duties. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are met. In this role, you will assist the Executive Housekeeper in supervising all housekeeping associates, which includes scheduling and training staff. You will act as a liaison between the executive housekeeper and the Housekeeping Inspectors, ensuring effective communication and operational efficiency. Responding to guests' requests and complaints regarding housekeeping services is a critical part of this position, as is inspecting guest rooms to uphold quality and hotel standards. You will maintain close contact with the Front Desk and Sales teams, approving rooms for occupancy and notifying the front desk accordingly. Additionally, you will fill in for the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Housekeeper during their absence and assist with monthly inventories of guest and housekeeping supplies, placing orders for necessary equipment. Maintaining and issuing housekeeping keys and ensuring that staff adhere to hotel uniform and grooming standards are also key responsibilities. This position may involve performing other duties as assigned by management, making it essential for candidates to be adaptable and willing to take on various tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of hotel housekeeping techniques is required.
  • Supervisory experience is needed.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with guests and staff effectively.
