About the position

The Housekeeping Attendant at IHG Hotels & Resorts plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of hotel rooms and common areas. This position involves performing a variety of light cleaning duties to ensure that both private households and commercial establishments, such as hotels, are kept in pristine condition. The primary responsibilities include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and hallways, and vacuuming. The Room Attendant is expected to ensure that housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas are maintained to the company's standards while in use. This includes stocking carts and cart rooms as necessary or as directed by management. In addition to cleaning duties, the Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for reporting any maintenance issues directly to the front desk or the manager on duty. They must also report any guest property that may be left behind in the room to the front desk and management. The role requires assisting guests by providing reasonable accommodations in response to their requests whenever possible and practical. Compliance with all safety and security policies and procedures is essential. The Housekeeping Attendant may also be assigned to clean other areas of the hotel as needed, including the associate breakroom, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas. Overall, the position is vital for maintaining the hotel's cleanliness and ensuring a pleasant experience for guests. Other duties may be assigned by the management team as required.

Responsibilities

  • Clean other areas of the hotel as assigned by management.

Requirements
