About the position

The Housekeeping Custodian at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino is responsible for maintaining sanitation and aesthetic standards in public areas throughout their shift. This role involves cleaning, floor care, and ensuring safety measures are followed while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Identify sanitation and aesthetic maintenance needs in public areas.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Clean stations while adhering to safety measures.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years old.
• Knowledge of carpet and floor care, chemicals, and equipment preferred.
• Effective communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good reasoning ability.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Physical ability to stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Experience in custodial or commercial cleaning.
• Experience in groundskeeping or landscaping.
