At MGM Resorts International, the role of a Hotel Houseperson is pivotal in creating memorable experiences for our guests. This position is not just about cleaning; it’s about setting the stage for an excellent guest experience by ensuring that each assigned room is immaculate and ready for guest arrival. As a Hotel Houseperson, you will engage with guests' unique stories and needs, taking ownership of their experience to create WOW memories that they will cherish long after their stay. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas, which involves a variety of tasks such as cleaning ash urns, dusting lamps and mirrors, mopping marble or tile floors, and delivering requested items like refrigerators and cribs to guest rooms. You will also be responsible for emptying trash and linen from Guest Room Attendants' carts, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring that supplies are stocked in assigned lockers. Following safety procedures and cleaning protocols is essential, as is the ability to respond quickly to any flooding incidents. You will also clean restrooms, vacuum halls and lobbies, and ensure that all areas are presentable and welcoming for our guests. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and supplies, and will be able to follow directions effectively. Excellent organizational skills are crucial, as you will need to function under time constraints and meet established deadlines while paying close attention to detail. Strong listening abilities, judgment skills, and customer service skills are essential for effective communication with all business contacts. Maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to company standards is also a key aspect of this role.
