About the position

The Housekeeping Houseperson at American Airlines - The Landing at Skyview 6 is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in assigned areas, assisting room attendants, and ensuring that housekeeping supplies are adequately stocked. This role is essential for providing a clean and welcoming environment for guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist room attendants with stripping beds and removing used linen and towels.
• Deliver soiled linens to laundry chute for cleaning.
• Deliver fresh towels and linens to room attendants for guest rooms.
• Deliver additional supplies to room attendants as needed and as necessary.
• Effectively communicate with room attendants to ensure efficient and timely cleaning of guest rooms.
• Vacuum hallways of guest room floors.
• Participate in general cleaning with tasks such as turning mattresses and removing sheers and drapes.
• Ensure that all equipment is distributed and maintained in proper operating order.
• Ensure that all linen closets are stocked.
• Ensure delivery of guest request items to guest rooms.
• Ensure that trash is collected and disposed of properly.
• Maintain constant awareness of safety issues, reporting all incidents to the on-duty supervisor.
• Report and deliver lost and found items to the Housekeeping office.
• Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor.
• Perform any other duties as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

• Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping a plus.
• Ability to move, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25-30 pounds.
• Ability to move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.
• Availability for a Monday - Sunday schedule, including holidays and weekends.
