About the position

The Housekeeper at The Harmony Collection at Hanover Assisted Living and Memory Care is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in common living areas and resident apartments. This role emphasizes attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols while ensuring a pleasant living environment for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cleaning of the entire facility, focusing on common areas and apartment bathrooms.
  • Complete maintenance request reports when needed.
  • Report deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Operate laundry equipment when needed.
  • Report inadequate quantities of all supplies needed to perform duties to the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Use only approved cleaning products and ensure that all cleaning supplies are properly stored at all times.
  • Clean office areas when assigned.
  • Dust and clean all window blinds in the community.
  • Dust all furniture, bookshelves, etc. in resident apartments and common areas.
  • Vacuum common areas and resident apartments.
  • Keep common area and resident bathrooms clean.
  • Clean apartments at resident move-out.
  • Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
  • Maintain resident privacy/confidentiality at all times and follow all policies regarding the release of resident information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Housekeeping experience highly desired
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to complete assignments thoroughly and on time
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team
  • Polite and courteous to all residents, visitors, co-workers, and management team
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push and pull for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feet
  • Must wear designated uniform during work hours and maintain good personal hygiene
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
