Housekeeping - Night Cleaner

About the position

As a Night Cleaner at the Duquesne Club, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring that all areas of the Club are ready for business in the morning. This role is crucial for providing a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests, emphasizing professionalism and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Practicing safety first and adhering to emergency guidelines set by the club, state, and Allegheny County.
• Receive work assignment from supervisor and report to designated area.
• Use tools, products and cleaning techniques required of your work area such as dusting, vacuuming, cleaning of wood furniture, glass, marble surfaces, emptying of trash, etc.
• Assist in the cleaning of dining rooms used for dinner of linen, candles, or other materials, i.e., dishes, silverware, etc.
• Pull chairs from around tables to vacuum under the tables, remove dust and crumbs, and replace chairs.
• Reporting any issues or hazards promptly to supervisors and following established guidelines for Workers Compensation.

Requirements

• Self-motivation to complete tasks efficiently and work independently.
• Physical strength and capability to stand the entire shift, as well as bend, stoop, climb, reach, lift/move equipment, furniture, trays, etc.
• Excellent coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to work rapidly during busy periods.
• Ability to read labels on chemicals/cleaning products and determine proper use as well as follow written directions.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to club policies and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with members and colleagues.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in housekeeping in a similar environment.
• Previous experience working the night shift.
