About the position

The Housekeeping Part Time Evening position at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the institution, particularly in patient care and ancillary areas. The role emphasizes customer satisfaction and adherence to safety and infection control protocols while contributing to a supportive community focused on holistic care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and orderly condition throughout the institution in patient care and ancillary areas.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by performing AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You).
• Record and submit all documentation as requested by the supervisor.
• Assist with the education and training of new associates.
• Practice cost containment involving supplies and equipment.
• Utilize chemicals, equipment, and supplies safely and properly.
• Process discharges using Capacity Management and notify the Supervisor when ultraviolet light needs to be run in an isolation room.
• Clean patient rooms and common areas.
• Follow appropriate guidelines for housekeeping infection control.
• Utilize waste management in the room care setting.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• 1 - 2 years of position-related experience.
