About the position

The Housekeeping Room Attendant at Plunge Beach Resort is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms and common areas. This role is essential in ensuring that guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay by performing various cleaning tasks and adhering to health and safety standards. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who enjoys physical work and can work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
• Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
• Protect equipment and ensure there are no inadequacies.
• Notify superiors of any damages, deficits, and disturbances.
• Handle reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.

Requirements

• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Regularly lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing, moving about the facility, bending, stooping, kneeling, and handling objects and equipment.
• Team player, hard worker, and detail-oriented.
• Passionate about cleanliness and enjoys physical work.
• Previous similar work experience is preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED would be a plus.
