Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of housekeeping and laundry staff.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Teach and train the proper steps of service ensuring consistency in delivery.
  • Support the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing day-to-day housekeeping operations.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily housekeeping activities, including room cleaning and public area maintenance.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to established procedures.
  • Address any operational issues or guest concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between departments regarding room availability and status.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and coordinate replenishment as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Some college or a college degree in hospitality or related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the housekeeping department of a luxury hotel or resort preferred.
  • Working knowledge of hotel/housekeeping management software and systems required.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Solid understanding of housekeeping operations, including cleaning techniques and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Versa and MS Office preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and stressful environment.
