Houseman (PM)

About the position

The Houseman position at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chattanooga Downtown is a full-time role focused on maintaining cleanliness and organization within the hotel. The role involves supporting the Rooms Division by moving heavy items and ensuring that common areas are well-kept, contributing to an excellent guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Rooms Division by moving heavy items such as mattresses, linens, chairs, and tables.
• Maintain clean common areas including public restrooms, fixtures, vending areas, and storage areas.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds as required.
• Handle objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
• Perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, and kneeling frequently.
• Work in areas of high temperatures around heavy equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
• Some laundry experience preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand and move about the work area frequently.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in heavy equipment operation.
