About the position

The Houseperson is responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated areas of the hotel while responding to guest requests, contributing to outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Clean designated areas including restrooms, public areas, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures, vacuum, mop, sweep, shampoo carpets, wash windows, clean/wax floors, remove and dispose of trash, and empty ashtrays.
  • Greet guests in a friendly manner.
  • Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair.
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms as needed.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects such as mattress flipping and furniture moves as needed.
  • Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms as needed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated hospitality and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Dependability and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role.
