About the position

The Housing & Case Management Program Manager at MVA is responsible for leading the Transitional Housing Program, aimed at transforming lives and fostering stability for veterans and minority veterans facing housing instability. This role involves designing and implementing innovative programs that promote self-sufficiency and long-term housing solutions, while providing comprehensive support through individualized case management and community resource connections.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and oversee program activities to meet participant needs and align with organizational goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for program participants, offering support and addressing concerns.
  • Identify and establish partnerships with community organizations and service providers to enhance support services.
  • Maintain accurate records of program activities, participant progress, and outcomes; prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure program compliance with relevant regulations and implement quality assurance measures.
  • Assist in developing and managing the program budget, monitoring expenses, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Conduct outreach to promote the program and advocate for the needs of the population served.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops and training sessions for participants to build life skills and employment readiness.
  • Provide crisis intervention support and connect participants with appropriate services.
  • Supervise and support a team of volunteers and staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in program development and management or community engagement.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with minority veterans and/or military-connected populations.
  • Experience in supervising and supporting a team, including recruitment and performance management.
  • Proven experience in building and delivering inclusive programs for minority and underrepresented populations.
  • Proficiency with social media, email distribution software (e.g., MailChimp), and Salesforce.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in crisis intervention and emergency management.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and services for veterans.
  • Familiarity with grant writing and fundraising efforts.
