About the position

The Housing and Community Development Grant Manager is responsible for overseeing grant and financial management functions within the Department of Housing and Community Development. This role involves providing administrative, fiscal, and budgetary assistance to the Director, managing federal and state grants, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures. The position plays a critical role in the development and implementation of various grant programs and capital improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of key federal and state grants, including the Community Development Block Grant Program.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, financial transactions, and compliance monitoring.
  • Assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of various grant programs.
  • Provide administrative, fiscal, and budgetary assistance to the Director of Housing & Community Development.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and recommend enhancements.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree preferred in urban planning, public administration, business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • At least four (4) years of similar work experience, with one (1) year in an administrative supervisory capacity.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is helpful.

  • Knowledge of community development policies and procedures.
