About the position
The Housing Custodian position at Brookhaven National Laboratory involves performing general cleaning and housekeeping duties in housing facilities under the supervision of the Residence Services Supervisor. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and staff, supporting the laboratory's mission to enable great science.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties in Housing facilities.
- Follow written instruction procedures and work orders.
- Complete all requirements of the Job Training Assessment.
Requirements
- One year of custodial/housekeeping experience or equivalent professional cleaning experience.
- High School Diploma, GED or higher.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass computer-based training.
- Ability to read and comprehend OSHA Material Safety Data Sheets and other job-related documents.
- Experience with customary hand and machine equipment.
