About the position

The Housing First Case Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the Housing First Case Manager program, ensuring quality services for clients with developmental disabilities. This role involves managing a team, building relationships with community partners, and analyzing program performance to enhance client outcomes. The manager will also handle program compliance, financial oversight, and staff training, while representing the organization in community events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Housing First Case Manager program and supervise the CMH team in San Jose.
  • Build relationships with support providers, government agencies, landlords, and property managers.
  • Expand the network of housing providers experienced with clients with developmental disabilities.
  • Strengthen the CMH program using quantitative data and insights from team collaboration.
  • Mentor, recruit, and hire staff, providing consistent training and support.
  • Investigate and resolve client complaints about Housing Choices.
  • Assess community needs and represent Housing Choices in community events and workshops.
  • Implement customer satisfaction surveys to recommend improvement areas.
  • Monitor monthly billing and expenses, comparing actuals to projections.
  • Ensure legal compliance with SARC's terms of service and reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or relevant field preferred.
  • BA or BS degree in Social Services or a relevant field required.
  • 3 years of experience in direct service, preferably for people with developmental disabilities.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • 1 year of program management experience with budget and contract responsibilities.
  • Valid California Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance.
  • First Aid/CPR training (can be provided).
  • Fully bilingual in Spanish.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
  • Intermediate skills in common office computer programs like Excel, Word, Gmail, and Google Docs.
