About the position

The Maintenance Technician role at NW Employment Solutions involves performing various maintenance tasks at a local apartment complex in Canby, OR. The position focuses on ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the property, including grounds, buildings, and amenities. The technician will be responsible for routine inspections, repairs, and providing excellent customer service to residents and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine property walks and inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Identify and report property and equipment concerns to the supervisor.
• Complete repairs and tasks in common areas and units, including painting and cleaning.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for emergency needs.
• Perform repairs to restore homes to rent-ready status, including carpentry and appliance maintenance.
• Utilize software and electronic platforms to record tasks and duties.
• Provide concierge-level customer service to clients and residents.
• Demonstrate positive conflict resolution and maintain professionalism.
• Communicate consistently with management and staff for clarity and transparency.
• Comply with regulations and company policies, including safety meetings.
• Maintain necessary licensing and attend required training.
• Use and store chemicals according to OSHA and SDS guidelines.
• Maintain logs and records as required.

Requirements

• 1 year of landscape maintenance experience.
• 1 year of facilities maintenance experience.
• 1 year of mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to work 8-12 hour standing shifts.

Benefits

• Full-time position with a pay rate of $21.00 - $23.00 per hour.
• Consistent work schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.
