About the position
The Housing Procurement Coordinator plays a crucial role in the Housing Department of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, focusing on the procurement of supplies, equipment, labor, and services. This position is essential for supporting the department's mission to provide safe and sustainable housing opportunities for Tribal Members. The coordinator will manage administrative tasks related to procurement and grant maintenance, ensuring effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the procurement of supplies, equipment, labor, and services for the Housing Department.
- Perform administrative duties related to the acquisition of necessary resources.
- Solicit and maintain grants from Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other organizations.
- Build and maintain working relationships with associates, Tribal community members, vendors, and contractors.
- Track supplies and equipment, and manage grants effectively.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software packages, including Excel, is required.
- Ability to travel to all reservations and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred.
