About the position
The Housing & Resident Life Program Manager is a full-time, 10-month position focused on enhancing the experience of J1 Work & Travel Students residing in Summit Housing. This role involves preparing housing facilities, supporting residents, enforcing housing rules, resolving conflicts, and implementing emergency plans, all while fostering a sense of community through cultural events.
Responsibilities
- Prepare facilities for resident arrival, including inventory checks and resupplying housing needs.
- Facilitate and assist with the distribution of room keys and housing notices.
- Conduct move-ins and ensure accurate completion of paperwork while communicating housing rules.
- Assist in resolving resident conflicts through professional and solution-oriented actions.
- Facilitate and implement emergency plans in coordination with security and fire departments.
- Plan and implement cultural events for work and travel program participants.
Requirements
- Technical fluency with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Project).
- Experience using HR and Accounting systems like Concur, UKG, and iCMS is a plus.
- Ability to utilize critical thinking skills in decision-making situations.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and documenting processes for employee or guest experience.
