About the position

The City of Anaheim is seeking a Housing Supervisor (Housing Coordinator) to oversee operations within the Anaheim Housing Authority. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with housing programs, and coordinating activities with various stakeholders. The Housing Supervisor will also provide complex assistance to the Housing Programs Administrator and manage technical tasks related to housing services.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, assign, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for housing services and activities.
  • Ensure work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Provide complex staff assistance to the Housing Programs Administrator.
  • Plan, prioritize, and develop procedures for new housing programs.
  • Participate in budget preparation and administration for assigned programs.
  • Monitor program compliance with federal laws and regulations.
  • Conduct audit inspections of housing units under contract.
  • Coordinate housing quality standards inspections with other agencies.
  • Attend professional meetings and maintain awareness of new trends in housing.

Requirements

  • Four years of responsible experience in a housing program.
  • One year of administrative and/or lead supervisory experience.
  • Completion of the twelfth grade and college-level coursework in public administration, business administration, or social services.
  • A Bachelor's degree is highly desirable.
  • Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working for a Housing Authority.
  • Experience with the Section 8 Housing Program.
