About the position

The CNC Swiss Set Up/Operator position is a full-time role focused on setting up and operating Swiss machines to mill and turn various metallic and nonmetallic workpieces. The operator will ensure that the machines operate at peak performance while meeting customer specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machine shop procedures and the ability to troubleshoot and modify NC Code to enhance job performance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of Swiss machines to mill and turn workpieces.
• Troubleshoot setups and modify NC Code to improve job performance.
• Select and mount correct cutting tools and tooling for each job.
• Ensure completed work meets all customer requirements.
• Maintain and repair parts for customer specifications.

Requirements

• Experience in setting up and operating CNC Swiss machines.
• Knowledge of machine shop procedures and machining techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and modify NC Code.
• Understanding of metal and plastic properties.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with 8-13 Axis CNC Swiss Screw machines.
• Familiarity with custom machining methods.
