About the position

The HPC/AI Electrical Hardware Engineering Intern position at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is designed for students pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. This internship offers an opportunity to work on critical hardware engineering projects, collaborating with experienced engineers to design and validate electrical components and systems. The role emphasizes hands-on learning and mentorship, allowing interns to contribute to innovative solutions in high-performance computing and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a specific project critical to HPE.
  • Design portions of engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms based on established engineering principles.
  • Implement established test plans for existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, thermal generation, and system power measurements.
  • Participate as a member of a project team of other electrical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective and high-quality solutions for low to moderately-complex products.
  • Be mentored by a senior member of the engineering team to technically approach the use case.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree program; 3rd Year of University completed.
  • Experience or understanding of electrical design tools and software packages.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of design for electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms.
  • Understanding of thermal and electromagnetic properties of materials and managing emissions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
