About the position

The HPC & AI Software Architect role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise involves providing technology consulting to both external customers and internal project teams. The architect is responsible for creating and delivering technology solutions that meet customer business needs, maintaining effective customer relationships, and contributing to the company's solutions portfolio. This position requires a deep understanding of high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, as well as the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive technical strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed technical design for enterprise solutions.
  • Analyze and develop enterprise technology solutions as the Principal Consultant.
  • Lead large cross-functional teams, including technical management of client staff.
  • Provide technical direction to resolve complex issues and ensure on-time delivery of solutions.
  • Offer advanced technical consulting and advice to proposal efforts and solution design.
  • Set strategic direction for customers based on the company's solutions and products.
  • Collaborate with peers to define and characterize complex technology or process problems.
  • Produce strategies to assist the company in becoming a market leader.
  • Participate in professional programs and practice improvement activities.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing and contributions within the professional community.
  • Publish externally to enhance the company's reputation and present at technology conferences.
  • Mentor team members and maintain relationships with senior-level customers.
  • Lead sales activities and ensure clear direction for proposals.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of professional experience in technology consulting or related fields.
  • Master's degree in computer science or a related area; or 15+ years of relevant experience without a Master's degree.
  • Strong knowledge of high-performance computing (HPC).
  • Ability to develop reusable solutions and workarounds that enhance enterprise performance.
  • Recognized as an advanced subject matter expert in IT products and applied technologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting across significant multi-vendor products.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate new offerings across multiple business units.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and mentor others in consulting skills.
