About the position

Erias Ventures is seeking a System Engineer who will provide technical leadership in the integration of system requirements, software design, and various technology stacks into a scalable, sustainable, and highly available mission solution. The System Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of the work performed and the deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. This role requires effective communication with program personnel, government stakeholders, and senior executives to ensure alignment and clarity in project objectives and outcomes. In addition to technical responsibilities, the System Engineer will also take on the role of Agile SCRUM Master for one or more software development teams, guiding them through the Agile process and ensuring that best practices are followed. Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the integration of system requirements and software design.
• Manage various technology stacks to create scalable and sustainable mission solutions.
• Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables in the Systems Engineering area.
• Communicate effectively with program personnel, government stakeholders, and senior executives.
• Lead Agile SCRUM processes for software development teams.

Requirements

• Current Top-Secret/SCI with FS polygraph security clearance is required.
• Twenty (20) years' experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required (or five (5) years of additional SE experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree).
• Experience using the Linux CLI and tools.
• Experience writing scripts using Bash/Python.
• General HPC technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage components.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and automation tools such as Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet, Chef, Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab.
• Experience with DevSecOps best practices.
• Experience with Git Source Control System.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Willingness to learn Ansible.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools including Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with build-test-release CI/CD pipelines and processes.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and containerd.
• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Rancher Kubernetes Engine 2 (RKE2).
• Experience with Linux system administration and infrastructure network services such as DNS, DHCP, PXE, NTP, etc.
