About the position

James Perse is seeking an entry-level Human Resources Administrative Assistant to provide essential administrative support to the Human Resources Department. The role involves assisting with HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employee programs while frequently interacting with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, applicants, visitors, supervisors, management, and other administrative staff.
  • Maintain and track human resources metrics and data.
  • Develop internal and external reports.
  • Maintain HR administration including copying, filing, scanning, creating, and purging physical and digital forms/files.
  • Provide administrative support for all components of the employment life cycle.
  • Assist with maintenance and provide technical support for HR Information Systems.
  • Manage and distribute incoming mail for the office, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings, training, and education.
  • Assist with the training of other employees and provide backup to other areas in administration.
  • Complete other duties, assignments, and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration plus 1 year experience desired.
  • Knowledge of Document Management System and Record Management.
  • HRIS (ADP, Ultipro, etc.) experience a plus.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints.
  • Maintain reliable attendance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
