The University of Utah is seeking a dedicated HR Analyst II, also known as a Human Resources Generalist, to join its Human Resources team. This position is integral to ensuring that University leaders have the necessary support to manage their divisions effectively. The HR Generalist will primarily serve as the first point of contact for various departments, assisting with a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, compensation, employee relations, and processing employment changes. The role requires a proactive approach to customer service, efficiency, and the ability to develop new programs and initiatives that meet the needs of management. The HR Generalist will work closely with an Associate HR Director and will be expected to maintain a strong knowledge base of HR practices, University policies, and employment law. This hybrid position requires the incumbent to work on campus at least two days a week, with the first three weeks dedicated to on-site training. The HR Generalist will also be responsible for managing and organizing inbound requests for employment updates and HR-related information, consulting with department management on HR concerns, and providing support to employees on various HR topics. Building strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs is essential, as is the ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively for timely execution.
