About the position

Our client stands at the forefront of the global market, pioneering the development and distribution of innovative, sustainable tobacco products to a diverse customer base spanning over 120 nations. They are looking for an HR Analyst to join their team in their new production facility in Danville, Virginia. In this role, you will report to the Total Rewards Manager and People & Culture Manager, and you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for two facility entities covering 220 local and international employees on a bi-weekly and monthly basis. You will also serve as the point of contact for employees at all levels regarding benefits. The second part of your role will involve harnessing data to guide decisions about staffing and production costs, thereby optimizing resource allocation and boosting efficiency. You will play an integral role in the budgeting process, forecasting expenses related to changes in headcount and compensation adjustments. This position offers a high level of interaction with different stakeholders and solid exposure to local and regional leadership teams, providing an enriching experience in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end payroll processing for two facility entities covering 220 local and international employees.
  • Serve as the point of contact for employees at all levels regarding benefits.
  • Utilize data to guide decisions about staffing and production costs.
  • Optimize resource allocation and boost efficiency through data analysis.
  • Participate in the budgeting process and forecast expenses related to changes in headcount and compensation adjustments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR, or Business.
  • 6-8 years of end-to-end payroll experience (US and expatriate payroll beneficial).
  • 5+ years' experience preparing HR reports and staff data related to salary costs, time management, absences, and statistics.
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems, preferably Paylocity, for hourly and salary employees with complex/diverse schedules.
  • Strong experience managing benefit administration, enrollments, and vendor negotiations/management.
  • Experience working within a global services team.
  • Experience working for a start-up or small organization, preferably within a manufacturing plant or similar environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Excel and reporting software.
