About the position

The HR Analyst position focuses on supporting the Cyber Security Initiative within the public sector, specifically under a 5+ year federal contract based in Arlington, VA. This role is not an IT analyst position; rather, it is centered on human resources support, particularly in relation to personnel issues arising from the implementation of new cybersecurity measures. The successful candidate will be expected to have a current secret clearance and at least five years of relevant experience in the field. In this role, the HR Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to draft or revise supplemental guidance and communication products that assist in the development or revision of policies and procedures for the Cyber Academic Engagement Office (CAEO). This includes cultivating university engagement through outreach initiatives aimed at fostering collaboration between the Department of Defense (DoD) and academic institutions in the realms of cybersecurity, IT, and cyber operations. The analyst will leverage established relationships with National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C), Senior Military Colleges (SMC), and other relevant organizations to enhance these efforts. Additionally, the HR Analyst will provide support and expertise in the application review and selection process, working closely with the client or organization responsible for managing applications. The role also involves supporting the implementation and administration of workforce-wide development opportunities, which are crucial for the success of the program. This includes leveraging lessons learned from various programs such as the Cyber Workforce Rotational Program, Cyber Information Technology Exchange Program (CITEP), and Cyber Service Academy (CSA). The HR Analyst will also be responsible for monitoring and assessing the implementation of initiatives according to the priorities, goals, objectives, and milestones set by the DoD Chief Information Officer (CIO).
