About the position

The HR Analytics Specialist will leverage data and analytics to enhance HR and business outcomes, focusing on developing HR strategies that utilize both internal and external data to identify actionable improvement opportunities. This role involves reporting, monitoring, and analyzing data trends, and effectively communicating results to various stakeholders while partnering on strategic initiatives to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP of Human Resources and GM of Planning, Programs & Systems to develop success measures for HR strategy effectiveness and ROI.
  • Monitor and measure progress towards goal attainment.
  • Perform complex analysis using broad HR data including Workday, wage, salary, benefits, financial, facilities, hiring, performance, and external benchmarking data.
  • Oversee the acquisition and management of HR survey data as part of Employee Listening & Culture initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR leaders and stakeholders to understand people processes, identify data needs, gather requirements, and analyze data for improvement.
  • Communicate statistical analyses and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Create presentations summarizing complex analyses for the VP HR.
  • Manage third-party People data acquisition and ownership.
  • Run and interpret Workday reports, merging data with other HRIS and financial sources.
  • Design and implement a workforce headcount planning process in partnership with HR teams.
  • Support HR reporting and data needs by developing dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations.
  • Perform data quality reviews to identify problems and partner with HR teams for solutions.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of standard reporting visualizations across HR functional groups.
  • Develop a standard set of relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) with business leaders and HR groups.
  • Manage the development of complex HR models, forecasts, proposals, and performance measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in an analytical role with emphasis on HR data management and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze large HR data sets and transform them into business analytics for human capital decision making.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Familiarity with Project Management tools like JIRA, Confluence, or MS Project Manager.
  • Survey Management experience using tools like Survey Monkey, Red Cap, or Survey Tracker.
  • Proficient in Excel, including merging workbooks, creating pivot tables, and using vlookup and nested functions.
  • Experience with HR data, HRMS/HRIS systems, specifically Workday and Workday reporting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a hybrid work environment.
  • Knowledge of HR benchmarking practices.
